A slipped slate, a stain spreading across a ceiling, water in the attic after a night of rain. HP Roofing has been repairing roofs across Dublin since 1969.
We inspect the roof properly, find where the water is actually getting in, and give you a written fixed quote before anyone starts work. Repairs are carried out by our own directly employed crews, not subcontractors.

Most roof problems show up inside the house first. A stain spreading across a ceiling, a musty smell in the attic, daylight through the roof boarding when you look up. By the time you can see something wrong from the ground, water has usually been getting in for a while.
Most roof problems show up inside the house first. A stain spreading across a ceiling, a musty smell in the attic, daylight through the roof boarding when you look up. By the time you can see something wrong from the ground, water has usually been getting in for a while.
Tracing a leak back to its source rather than patching where the stain appears. Replacing slipped, cracked and missing slates, re-bedding loose ridge and hip tiles, and repairing lead valleys.
Membrane splits, ponding water and failed laps on felt, PVC and asphalt systems. Flat roofs fail differently to pitched roofs and need a different fix.
Repointing and rebuilding chimney stacks, replacing failed seals. Chimneys are one of the most common leak points on Dublin housing stock.
After a storm the priority is stopping water getting in, not finishing the job that day. We make the roof safe, cover the exposed area, and come back for the permanent repair once conditions allow and the full extent of the damage is clear.
If you are making an insurance claim, we photograph and document the damage as we find it so you have a record to submit. Whether the policy pays is between you and your insurer. Our guide on explains how cover works.

Most roof problems start small and quiet, then get expensive. If you have spotted any of these, it is worth getting them looked at before the next downpour.
We come out, get on the roof, and find exactly what is wrong.
You get a clear, itemised price. No call-out charge, no pressure.
Our own crew carries out the work, tidily and on the agreed
date.
We show you what we did and stand over the work.
Every repair follows the same four steps, whether it is two slates or a full flat roof section.
We go up and look at the roof, and into the attic where access allows. Finding the real source matters more than the visible symptom.
You get the work itemised in writing before anything starts. No day rates, no open-ended pricing.
Carried out by our own crews. All staff hold CSCS skill cards and site passes, and an in-house safety officer oversees compliance.
We show you what was done and what we found underneath, including anything worth keeping an eye on.
A few recent repairs around Dublin. Real jobs, real homes.
John McEvoy started HP Roofing in 1969 with three roofers. Fifty-seven years later we are still working on Dublin roofs, the longest continuous record of any roofing contractor in the city.
That experience is not only domestic. Our crews have worked on RTE, Trinity College Dublin, The Shelbourne Hotel and buildings for the HSE. The same standard applies to two slates on a Crumlin semi.
Established 1969, 57 years in Dublin roofing. Member of the National Guild of Master Craftsmen. Fully insured for property damage and public liability. Directly employed crews, CSCS certified, with an in-house safety officer. Written fixed quotes before work begins.

Learn to drive that van or take your name off itPosted on Google Susie vBTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I haven’t used the services of this company but I have seen atrocious and dangerous driving by one of their vans. I have reported this to the guarda. 30/11/25 09:20 their van engaged in dangerous driving with another Volvo each trying to overtake. Both cars swerved at each other. Whilst stopped at a red light - with pedestrians at the light - their van accelerated from stationary through a red light to overtake the Volvo. Easily could have caused harm to all involved. I wouldn’t trust a company who acts like this on the road.Posted on Google Gavin KeaneTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Company seems to be too busy to follow up on work requests. Called 3 times over the space of 3 weeks requesting a visit. Receptionist requested photos which i sent and was told the roofer would contact me. Never did. Waste of time.Posted on Google Amelia TaylorTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. No call-out charge, no obligation. We’ll tell you honestly whether it needs repairing or replacing.
There is no honest fixed price, and any Dublin roofer quoting one over the phone has not looked at your roof. Three things drive the figure.
It depends on how urgent the problem is and where in Dublin you are. Active water ingress is prioritised over routine work. Call 01 453 3366 and we will tell you when we can get to you.
If the covering is sound and the problem is localised, repair is almost always the better spend. If the same roof has needed repeated work, or the battens and felt are failing across large areas works out cheaper over time. We will tell you which after the inspection.
We can usually make a roof safe and cover the exposed area in wet weather. Permanent repairs need dry conditions to bond and seal properly, so those are scheduled once the weather allows.
Book a free, no-obligation inspection and we will tell you honestly what your roof needs.
