Roof Trusses in Ireland

Trusses are the frame holding the whole roof up, so they are worth getting right. We design engineered timber trusses to your spans and loads, have them made to order, and supply and fit them for new builds, extensions, and attic conversions across Ireland. Structure and covering come from one roofer, not two.

Why us

Why choose HP Roofing for roof trusses

Truss suppliers stop at delivery. We design the frame, fit it, and then roof over it, so nothing gets lost between trades.

Engineered to your build

Trusses are designed to your spans, loads, and roof shape and made to order, not pulled off a shelf, so they fit the building and carry what they need to.

Structure and finish from one roofer

We can supply and fit the trusses and the roof covering that goes on top, so the whole roof is one job with one point of contact, not a handover between trades.

Fifty years behind the design

A family firm since 1969. We know what the structure has to carry and how the finished roof behaves on top of it, which informs the trusses we recommend.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

Our Roof Truss Service

We design, supply, and fit engineered timber trusses, the frame that gives a roof its shape and carries its load. Every set is made to order for the building. Each truss job we take on covers:

  • Truss design to your exact spans, loads, and roof shape, engineered before a single timber gets cut.
  • Prefabricated off-site to that design, then lifted into place, faster and more precise than cutting on-site.
  • New builds, extensions, and renovations across Ireland, for homeowners, self-builders, and contractors.
  • Attic trusses that leave the roof space open for attic conversions and storage from day one.
  • Galvanised steel plate joints throughout, holding rafters, ties, and webs as one rigid frame.
  • The finished roof covering fitted on top by the same crew, one job from frame to weathertight.

Good trusses are the difference between a roof that sits true for decades and one that sags into costly repairs. Ours get engineered right first. Written fixed price before any work, with workmanship cover.

GETTING A PRICE

What We Need To Quote You

Truss quotes move fast when the right details arrive together, and most jobs need only what is on this list.

Your Drawings

Architect or engineer drawings are the fastest route. Send the PDFs and the design work starts from those.

Spans And Roof Shape

No drawings yet means the basics still get us moving, the span, the pitch, and what the roof will carry.

The Roof Space Plan

Tell us if the attic will be lived in or used for storage, since that decides the truss type entirely.

Site And Access

Where the site is and what can reach it decides delivery and lifting, so a photo of access helps.

How we work

What Affects The Price

It starts with your drawings and the spans involved, so we understand what the roof has to do. We produce an engineered truss design, agree on a fixed price in writing, and have the trusses made to order to that design.

They are then delivered to the site. Our team lifts and fixes them, ready for the roof covering, or we supply them for your own builder to install. Either way you get a structure designed for the job and a clear, scheduled program.

FAQS

Frequently Asked Questions

Direct answers from an experienced, hands-on roofing professional.

A roof truss is the engineered timber frame that gives a roof its shape and carries its load, the rafters, ties, and webs joined into one rigid structure. Most modern roofs use prefabricated trusses, made to a design and lifted into place.

For most builds, yes. Prefabricated trusses are faster to fit, more precise, and usually more economical because they are made to an engineered design off-site. A traditional cut roof still suits some complex or heritage roofs, and we will advise on the right approach.

Yes. Attic or room-in-roof trusses are designed to leave usable space inside the roof, so you get a habitable loft as part of the structure. They are designed for your layout and the loads involved.

We design, supply, and fit trusses, and we can also supply them for self-builders and other contractors to install. Delivery is arranged to suit the site and the program.
