Every flat roof comes down to the system on top of it. We fit and repair all the main ones: traditional torch-on felt, modern single-ply PVC, hard-wearing asphalt, and the leading brands like Trocal, Paralon, and Bauder. Below is what each one is and where it works best, so you can see which suits your roof.

Three main ways to cover a flat roof in Ireland, running from the traditional and affordable through to the modern and long-lasting systems.
Traditional, good-value flat roof. Layers of bitumen felt bonded down with heat. Reliable, affordable, and well-proven on homes and garages.
Modern single-layer membrane, welded at the joints with hot air. Light, long-lasting and a strong choice for larger and commercial flat roofs.
Mastic asphalt, poured and laid into one tough, continuous waterproof finish. Long-established and hard-wearing, and it takes foot traffic well.
From the first call to the finished roof, we keep it simple. We come out and look at the roof properly. Then we recommend the system that suits it, felt, fibreglass, or single-ply, and quote a fixed price in writing. Nothing vague and nothing added later. You decide in your own time, with no pressure.
Once you are happy to go ahead, we agree a date. The old covering comes off, and any deck or insulation work gets sorted while the roof is open. Then the new system goes on to the maker’s spec. When it is done you get the paperwork, the guarantee, and a roof ready for decades.
Most roof problems start small and quiet, then get expensive. If you have spotted any of these, it is worth getting them looked at before the next downpour.
We come out, get on the roof, and find exactly what is wrong.
You get a clear, itemised price. No call-out charge, no pressure.
Our own crew carries out the work, tidily and on the agreed date.
We show you what we did and stand over the work.
Choosing comes down to the roof, the budget, and how long you want it to last. We tell you which systems make sense and which do not.
Torch-on felt is usually the sensible call. Proven and right for smaller roofs that just need covering properly.
Single-ply PVC or Trocal tends to win here. Light, long-lasting, and suited to big roofs and modern extensions.
Brand systems like Bauder and Trocal carry longest system guarantees, backed by the manufacturer as well as us.
Planted roofs grow on a flat system underneath. See our green roofs page for what the build-up involves.

Flat roof lasts longer when it’s looked after. We recommend a quick check once a year, usually after the worst of the winter, to clear leaves and silt out of the outlets, look over the joints and flashings.
Catch small issues before they turn into a leak. On a roof we’ve fitted, this is also what keeps the system guarantee valid. We can handle the aftercare for you or give you a short list of what to keep an eye on if you’d rather do it yourself.

No call-out charge, no obligation. We’ll tell you honestly whether it needs repairing or replacing.
Single-ply PVC systems like Trocal tend to give the longest service life on a well-fitted roof, often 25 to 30 years or more, with longer system guarantees to match. Asphalt is also very long-lasting when you need a hard, traffic-bearing surface. Torch-on felt is the shorter-lived of the three but still the right call on the right roof.
There isn’t a fixed price because the cost depends on the size of the roof, the system you go with, whether the deck and insulation need replacing, and how the roof is accessed. We come out, look at the roof and give you a written, fixed price for your job. That’s the only number worth quoting.
It depends on the age of the roof and what’s actually wrong with it. A leak on a roof that’s only 10 or 15 years old is usually a repair job. A roof that’s near the end of its life, blistering or ponding across the whole surface, is usually a replacement. We’ll tell you honestly which one your roof needs, not which one is bigger for us.
It depends on the system. Brand systems like Trocal and Bauder come with manufacturer-backed system guarantees when fitted by approved installers, which is what we are. On top of that, our own workmanship cover applies to the install. The exact length is set out in writing on your quote.
Book a free, no-obligation inspection and we will tell you honestly what your roof needs.
